A. Extended Abstract Guidelines and Acceptance

  • For each extended abstract submitted, one thematic area that best describes the contents of the contribution must be specified. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign thematic categories as necessary.

  • All extended abstracts will be coordinated and checked by the Scientific Committee.

  • Only original work that has not been published or accepted for presentation elsewhere is accepted.

  • Please follow the extended abstract according to the template format given and in Word file. Each extended abstract must contain an Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

  • The extended abstract must be aligned with the conference theme/s.

B. Extended Abstract Submission Guidelines

  • Extended abstract should be between 2-4 pages.

  • The title should be brief and clearly indicate the contents of the abstract.

  • The Extended Abstract can be written in English or Bahasa Malaysia.

  • Use standard abbreviations and symbols. Keep abbreviations to a minimum and define each one when it is used for the first time. Figures or tables should follow the UKM Style and references should follow the APA style as shown in the template.

  • Please write the abstract with a Word program, check spelling and grammar, proofread carefully, and submit it through the kNovasi2021 apps. Choose appropriate thematic areas and topics from the sub-theme provided in the kNovasi2021 apps. Abstracts cannot be modified (in their authorship, title and contents) after the deadline for abstract submission.

  • Authors of accepted extended abstract will be invited to present their paper virtually at the conference as an oral presentation.

  • Authors can check their presentation schedule once the schedule is completed, latest a week before the conference.

  • Each extended abstract must contain:

o Title
o Abstract
o Keywords
o Introduction
o Results and Discussion
o Conclusion

  • Extended abstracts will be published in the Proceedings of kNovasi 2021.

C. Extended Abstract Notification of Acceptance

The authors will be notified regarding the abstract acceptance one week after the
submission or latest by July 23rd 2021.

D. Full Paper

  • Authors of the accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full paper using the full paper template by July 23rd 2021. The full paper is optional and it will be blind reviewed. Selected papers will be published in the AJTLHE or other Scopus, ESCI, MyCite index journals or as a book chapter.

  • The full paper must be submitted through the kNovasi2021 apps.

E. Dry-run Session with Presenters

  • All presenters will be invited in the dry-run session a week before the conference to check the accessibility of the Internet connection at the location where the actual presentation will take place. Please be reminded that the location of dry-run session MUST BE the same as the actual presentation location.

  • If presenters are not confident with the Internet stability at their location, authors can prepare a presentation recording as a back-up, save in a google drive and share the google drive link in the kNovasi2021 apps. Authors are advised to submit a copy of the link through kNovasi2021 apps or send it to the secretariat’s email at
    knovasi2021@ukm.edu.my. Please note that all emails must include a registration reference number.

  • Please note that the presentation will use a Webex platform. All presenters will be provided a manual to install the application soon.

F. Terms and Conditions

  • Presenting authors must register by June 23rd 2021.

  • Failure to register may result in the paper being removed from the Conference
    program and if payment has been made it is not refundable.

  • The Conference organisers reserve the right to allocate accepted papers into sessions as they see fit in accordance with the overall program objectives.

  • The decision of the Conference organisers is final.
